This guide provides instructions for administrators to configure the Traco AI application in Avid MediaCentral | Cloud UX.

Table of Contents

Introduction

This is the essential guide to Traco AI Administration, covering all the major tasks that administrators need to complete. Configuration of the Traco AI app in Cloud UX is very straightforward and does not require regular maintenance.

All important settings can be found in the Cloud UX Administration interface and are accessible only for Cloud UX administrators.

Important: The settings available in the Cloud UX application are for basic customization only. The main settings that control AI processing capabilities, language support, processing engines, user permissions, and feature availability are configured on the Traco AI Server itself, not through this Cloud UX interface. Refer to the Traco AI Server documentation for detailed server configuration instructions.

Accessing Cloud UX | Traco AI Settings

To access Traco AI Settings in Cloud UX:

  1. Sign in to Cloud UX with administrator credentials
  2. Open the Admin Tools menu from the Cloud UX applications menu bar
  3. Select Traco AI Settings from the list of admin applications

Cloud UX | Traco AI Settings

Here is the list and description of all available settings for the Traco AI app. After changing the settings the administrator has to manually save the changes with the Save button.

  • Traco AI API URL: URL of the Traco AI Server that Cloud UX will communicate with for all AI processing operations. Format: http://hostname:port or https://hostname:port. Example: https://tracoai.example.com:5000. The Traco AI Server must be running and accessible before users can access AI features.

  • Traco AI Integrated User Management: Enable/Disable integrated user role management system. When enabled, Traco AI retrieves user-specific roles and permissions from the Traco AI Server, allowing different users to have different levels of access to features (Speech, Persons, Categories). When disabled, all users with Traco AI entitlement have full, unrestricted access to all features. Note: User roles and permissions must be configured on the Traco AI Server when this option is enabled.

  • Tab's Default Page: Default page displayed when a user opens the Traco AI tab in the Asset Inspector. Available options: Speech, Persons, Categories, Jobs, or (Empty) to show the first available page based on user permissions. This setting only affects the Asset Inspector tab, not the standalone application.
