Cloud UX | Traco AI | Installation Guide

Installation

This chapter covers the installation of the Traco AI feature pack for Cloud UX. The feature pack provides the Cloud UX connector interface to the Traco AI system. The installation requires the Traco ACS feature pack and Traco ACS Database to be installed as well.

Important: The Traco AI feature pack is only a Cloud UX connector. The main Traco AI Server with its database must be installed, configured, and running separately to handle all AI processing operations (transcription, translation, face recognition, and category detection). Refer to the Traco AI Server documentation for server installation and configuration instructions.

  1. Upload the Traco AI feature pack to your Cloud UX primary master node or single server.
On Windows you can use WinSCP while on Linux you can use the scp command in terminal.
  2. Connect via ssh into your Cloud UX primary master node or single server where you uploaded the Traco AI feature pack.
  3. Import the Traco AI feature-pack.

    Cloud UX v2023.3 or newer
    avidctl featurepack import <path-to-feature-pack>/traco-ai.zip

    Cloud UX v2022.12.x or older
    avidctl feature-pack import <path-to-feature-pack>/traco-ai.zip

  4. For MediaCentral | Cloud UX earlier than v2018.11 you must upgrade the helm repo manually.

    helm repo update

  5. Install the feature pack.

    Cloud UX v2023.3 or newer
avidctl featurepack install --feature avid-releases/traco-ai --name traco-ai --version=<version>

    Cloud UX v2022.12.x or older
avidctl feature install --feature avid-releases/traco-ai --name traco-ai --version=<version>

Note: If this is your first installation of the Traco AI feature pack, the application in the user interface will appear within 1-20 minutes.

Note: The exact version number of the feature pack can be identified from the output of the import command (step 3 of this chapter).

  6. If you are reinstalling or upgrading the Traco AI feature pack, it is necessary to delete the old traco-ai pod from kubernetes if it was not deleted automatically after the traco-ai feature pack installation. For more info about deleting pods please refer to MediaCentral | Cloud UX documentations.

  7. After installation, configure the Traco AI settings in Cloud UX:

    • Open the Traco AI Settings admin application
    • Enter the URL of your Traco AI Server
    • Configure Integrated User Management if needed
    • Set the default tab page preference
    • Save the settings

For detailed configuration instructions, refer to the Administrator Guide.
