This document describes changes, new features, improvements, and bug fixes for the Traco AI application.

We recommend reviewing these release notes thoroughly before installing or upgrading the software.

Version 2024.10.2

Changes and New Features

  • Text-to-Speech with Voiceover Creation
    • Generate high-quality voiceovers from text using AI-powered text-to-speech technology. Create sequences from search results and automatically generate corresponding voiceovers from summaries, with support for multiple languages and customizable prompts to fine-tune the output.
  • Semantic Search with Advanced Filtering
    • Search your media assets using natural language queries. Results are ranked by relevance with visual highlighting, and you can filter by date ranges and view detailed thumbnails.
  • Jobs Management and Monitoring
    • Track and manage all your AI processing jobs from a dedicated Jobs page. View job statuses with clear visual indicators, paginate through job lists with customizable page sizes, and better error handling ensures you're always informed about job progress.
  • Improved Performance
    • The application now loads content only when you need it, reducing wait times and improving overall responsiveness. AI-powered features including text generation and voiceover creation operate without timeout limitations for better reliability.

Fixed

  • Voiceover language selection now properly resets after language changes, preventing state-related errors.
  • All components now load correctly regardless of asset type, including Traco Avatar voiceovers that previously lacked standard media track information.

Version 2024.10.1

Changes and New Features

  • Subclip Support
    • Work seamlessly with subclips throughout the application. All features including transcription, translation, and AI analysis now fully support both master clips and subclips.
  • Translation Editing
    • Edit and refine translations directly within the application. Make adjustments to translated text to ensure it meets your exact requirements before finalizing your content.

Fixed

  • License management interface now displays correctly, ensuring proper license validation workflow.
  • Transcription refresh now triggers correctly when starting new transcription jobs.
  • Application no longer crashes when processing assets without standard media track information, such as Traco Avatar voiceovers.
  • Connection stability improved by addressing socket timeout issues that occurred during rapid polling intervals.

    • Automatically generate concise summaries of your media content. Summaries are created intelligently from transcriptions and are language-aware, updating automatically when you change translation languages for consistent multilingual summaries.
  • Subtitle Export
    • Download transcriptions and translations as Avid-compatible subtitle files, making it easy to integrate AI-generated text into your existing video production workflows.

    • Quickly find specific words or phrases within transcribed content. Search functionality helps you locate relevant sections of long-form content instantly.

    • Monitor and control processing jobs directly from the interface. Stop running jobs when needed and view detailed error information when jobs encounter issues, giving you complete control over AI processing tasks.
  • Enhanced Translation Workflow
    • Streamlined navigation between transcriptions and translations with dedicated buttons. Visual indicators show processing status, and translation language selection is now separate from transcription language for greater flexibility.
  • Default Page Preference
    • Set your preferred starting page in settings, allowing you to customize the application to match your most common workflows.
  • Right-to-Left Language Support
    • Proper display and handling of right-to-left languages like Arabic and Hebrew, ensuring correct text rendering and alignment for international content production.
  • Person Recognition and Markers
    • Automatically create timeline markers for detected persons and faces in your media. Markers use different colors for easy visual distinction and can be created automatically or manually as needed.
  • Translation Language Selection
    • Choose specific target languages when triggering new transcriptions, with support for translating content into multiple languages simultaneously for efficient multilingual production.

Fixed

  • Transcription text highlighting now works correctly for videos of all durations, including those shorter than one minute.
  • Translation interface properly manages button visibility based on available translations.
  • Language selection interfaces display correctly even when no previous translations exist.
  • Text highlighting functions reliably during and after partial transcription updates.
  • Word editing in transcriptions no longer triggers unintended player actions like play or seek.

Version 2024.3.2

    • Edit transcribed text word by word directly in the interface. Make corrections and adjustments to ensure accuracy before finalizing your content.
  • Text Highlighting Synchronized with Playback
    • Translation text now highlights in sync with video playback, making it easy to follow along and verify timing as you review translated content.
  • AI-Generated Summaries
    • Create and translate summaries of your media content. The system intelligently links summaries with translations, updating both when you change languages for consistent multilingual content.
  • Subtitle Export
    • Download speech and translations as Avid subtitle files, enabling seamless integration with your video editing workflows.
  • Enhanced User Interface
    • Auto scroll button relocated to sticky header for better accessibility. Navigation buttons for transcription and translation moved to sticky search row for improved workflow efficiency.

Fixed

  • "Back to Translation" button now properly hides after manually changing translation settings.
  • Translation append function now works reliably in all scenarios.
  • TranscribeTo buttons are disabled while processing previous submissions, preventing duplicate requests.
